Because with free-form prompting, the criteria shift from one CV to the next. CometHire applies a fixed requirement profile to every application, documents each assessment with evidence and runs on EU infrastructure with a data processing agreement – a private chat account doesn't.
No – and we don't claim to. Instead, you can ask for a short voice message in the application form, for example: “Tell us about a project from your CV. What was your contribution?” That way you hear the person before you invite them, and mass applications sent by bots have a harder time. CometHire evaluates what someone has demonstrably done, not their writing style. Where things stay vague, the report lists the open points.
No. CometHire doesn't hire or reject anyone. For each requirement, it shows how well it is supported – No, Partial, Substantial or Full evidence – and links to the relevant passage in the application. This produces a score from 0 to 100. You can replace any assessment with your own, and anyone who doesn't meet a knockout criterion is flagged, not rejected. You decide who moves forward.
Before evaluation, name, contact details, date of birth and gender are removed – the AI sees the work, not the person. And everyone is measured against the same standard, set in advance. No automatic redaction catches everything, so the full application always stays visible to you.
CometHire is built for the GDPR: data is hosted in Germany and processed in the EU, a data processing agreement is part of sign-up, and there is a privacy notice for applicants. All details in the AI & Trust Center
Stored with Hetzner in Germany, processed in data centers in the EU. No data is used to train AI models – our AI providers are contractually excluded from this too. Data is deleted automatically six months after receipt. All details in the AI & Trust Center
Yes. You can use CometHire for individual roles alongside your ATS, for example Personio, Greenhouse or Ashby. Applications then come in through the CometHire form and are evaluated there. There's no direct integration with your ATS yet. If you need one, have a quick chat with Anja.
CometHire was founded in Berlin in 2026 by Anja Bauer and Bakary Sanou. Anja has spent more than six years in recruiting and as COO at impact startups, and knows where founders get stuck with their first hires. Bakary builds the product. Much of what Anja would otherwise explain to founders in person is now built right into CometHire.
