The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national data protection laws.

This policy explains how CometHire processes personal data on this website.

It does not cover candidate data processed inside the CometHire product. When a customer uses CometHire to evaluate applications, that customer is the controller for the candidate data and CometHire acts as a processor on their instructions, under a Data Processing Agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. That agreement is available at comethire.com/dpa, and our comethire.com/ai-and-trust-center explains how the product works in detail.

When you visit this website, the following data is processed automatically for technical reasons:

• IP address
• Date and time of access
• Pages requested
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referrer URL

This is processed to keep the website secure, stable and functioning (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest). It is not combined with other sources and is not used to identify individual visitors. Server logs are deleted after 7 days.

This website is hosted on our own server at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. Hetzner processes data solely as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Processing takes place within the European Union.

All images and fonts on this website are served from our own infrastructure. The only external connection your browser makes is to our analytics provider, described in section 6.

We use Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia to understand how this website is used — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and which country, browser and device type they use.

Plausible Insights stores this data within the European Union, on servers operated by Hetzner (Germany), UpCloud (Finland) and Bunny (Slovenia), and acts as our processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

Plausible Insights does not use cookies and does not store any information on your device. To recognise whether two page views belong to the same visit, your IP address and browser information are used to calculate a one-way hash that changes every day and is then discarded. Raw IP addresses and user agents are not stored, and no profile is built across days, devices or websites.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used in order to improve it. Because nothing is stored on your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required.

To book a demo you are taken to a scheduling page operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling). When you book, you provide your name, your email address and any information you enter in the booking form.

Google acts as our processor for the purpose of arranging the appointment, and may additionally process technical data for its own purposes as described in Google's privacy policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Google may process data on servers outside the European Union; such transfers are based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. We delete booking data once the enquiry has been dealt with and no legal retention period applies.

If you contact us by email, the data you provide is processed solely to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). It is not shared with third parties beyond the processors named in this policy, and it is deleted once it is no longer needed and no legal retention period applies.

This website does not use advertising tools and does not build visitor profiles across websites or over time.

One functional cookie is set: i18n_redirected stores the language you selected so that the site loads in that language. It is technically necessary to provide the function you requested and therefore does not require consent under § 25 (2) TDDDG. No other cookies are set, and no data is stored in your browser's local storage.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15)
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16)
• have your data erased (Art. 17)
• have processing restricted (Art. 18)
• receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and misuse. This website is served over an encrypted TLS connection. A description of our technical and organisational measures is available to customers and prospective customers on request.

We update this policy when the processing described here changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
